Inspired by the successful phenomenon of WeChat, the co-founders started off the venture in late 2015 as a conversational commerce company providing digital concierge services via popular messaging apps such as WhatsApp, Messenger and SMS. As they were seeking for ways to automate and scale the business, it led them into researching about AI and building a chatbot platform to manage the service better.
The platform was a success with an influx of requests from the industry for a similar build for their enterprise use. The founders then decided to pivot the business and AiChat was officially founded in July 2016. Since then, the platform has evolved from a simple chatbot platform to a sophisticated AI-powered conversational experience solution. Beyond supporting automated responses to FAQs, it was built to value add real business goals and project a brand experience that won new customers and retained existing ones. Today, AiChat is the leading AI-powered conversational experience solution provider, empowering many Fortune 2000 brands to build success stories across Asia.
